Smart Filter by OKVIZ

There's a sexiness to this visual, no doubt. It can't work for us, because: 1. We need to be able to control the border colour of the slicer form field 2. Our slicers down down the left side of the page. You need a lot of realestate to use this slicer, meaning (for alignment purposes) this slicer will bleed over those below it. You can't interact with below slicers if you care about uniform spacing between slicers.

The free version has less functionality than the Microsoft Search visual and does not reflect the screenshot in the visual ad. I resume that is the paid version.

Agressive changes to previously free features will leave you with broken reports. Bait and switch marketing where it's free until they determine it's not.

The dropdown panel only appears inside the bounds of the visual. The default Power BI slicer's dropdown renders outside of the set rendering area.. So this visual has to take up more vertical space than it needs to.

I was excited to have the ability to have type-in filters on screen, and this is much better than the built-in filtering options for that. It's slower to load, but not awful. However, the filters don't always clear when they say they have, so the report shows half the data even though 'no filters' are in place. I've had to tell users to reset the whole dashboard to default regularly to fix this. The custom labels also disappear every so often, and occasionally switch around so the filters are labelled wrong. If I'd known this when I started I'd have just taught my users about the filter pane instead!

Works very good, but, does not get clear when you have a bookmark to "reset" all filters

Used this visual for a lot of my reports. Thought it was great until it just didn't work. Wouldn't allow me to select filters at different levels. Quite sure the issue was with the code behind it as it just didn't make sense at all. Started using Power BI new filter pane and ohh woow...I don't think I will ever go back to Visual - Filter. Built-in filters worked 15-20x quicker and smoother than Visual - filter.

The possibility of the visual dynamically adjusting is missing.

I would have appreciated knowing that there's a pro version before investing time into evaluating this custom viz. And, really, no using existing themes unless you use the Pro version? The tool is great, but I'm pretty sure my employer isn't going to use it, just because of that.
