Use Teams Professor to streamline deployment of standardized Teams or SharePoint sites using predefined templates.
With this provisioning tool, you can automatically roll out Teams or sites based on a predefined structure. For example, this can be a standard folder structure or channels with predefined tabs. This predefined definition then becomes the template.
An end user can request a new site or Team and provide the desired basic information such as the owner, members and name. Through a approval process, an administrator can then automatically roll out the site or team. In addition to efficiency and structure, it also gives an advantage for management of previously created Teams and/or sites. These are collected in an overview of important metadata such as creation date, original requester and template used.
This gives you a better
understanding of your information architecture and what has been created within
the Microsoft 365 environment. Updates to templates are also possible, such as
adding a new tab to previously rolled out teams. This means you no longer have
to manually adjust all locations. With Lifecycle management you are in control of the lifetime of deployed sites and Teams. An expiration date can be set as a default on deployed sites or Teams. Owners wil be notified when this date has passed and have the option to extend the expiration date. Admins can use the Teams Professor archive the expired sites or Teams automaticly or manually.

De Teams Professor is een zogenaamde provisioning oplossing waarmee het uitrollen van Teams of SharePoint sites kan worden gestandaardiseerd door het gebruik van sjablonen.
Deze sjablonen bevatte voor gedefinieerde instellingen, mappen structuur met standaard bestanden of Teams kanalen en tabbladen.
Een eindgebruiker kan een nieuwe site of Team aanvragen en daarbij de basis informatie opgeven, zoals wie de eigenaar is en de leden van het team. Middels een goedkeuringsproces door een beheerder wordt de site of het Team vervolgens automatisch uitgerold. Naast efficiëntie en een eenduidige structuur is het ook mogelijk om eerdere Teams en/of sites hiermee te beheren in een overzicht met aanvullende metadata zoals: aanmaakdatum, originele aanvrager en welke template is gebruikt.
Teams Professor helpt in het in controle zijn over de informatiearchitectuur binnen de Microsoft 365 omgeving. Uitbreidingen op reeds uitgerolde Teams of SharePoint sites zijn ook mogelijk, zoals het toevoegen van een nieuw tabblad of extra bibliotheek. Bij een uitgerolde site of team kan standaard een verloopdatum worden ingesteld. Bij het verstrijken van deze datum worden eigenaren via een bericht op de hoogte gestel zodat zij deze vervaldatum eventueel kunnen verlengen. De beheerder kan vervolgens via de Teams Professor de sites of Teams archiveren- of dit automatisch laten doen.
