Deliver Embedded Power BI reports in a multi-tenant way for customers and teams

Satori PBI MT ("PBI MT") is a portal designed to provide seamless deployment and ongoing management of all your embedded Power BI dashboards. PBI MT provide the security and user access management needed when external users without Power BI user licenses need to access Power BI report ("APP owns Data"). PBI MT provides all the management of security access, user management, report and workspace management as well as data refreshes. PBI MT also helps manage the embedded server to help reduce costs when it is not needed


With Satori PBI MT, you only need to manage 1 environment with each customer having their own unique access methods, reports, and data, eliminating shared data concerns.


This mean you can focus your time on building Power BI reports without worrying about deployment and management complexities of deploying your Power BI report and Semantic Models.

Satori PBI MT is designed to solve all the technical difficulties with deploying a suite of Power BI reports to a number of customers sch that they each have:

  • Their own site separate from each other
  • The own workspace with their own report
  • Their own data
  • Their own refresh schedules
  • The own security methods of access
  • Their own menus and page management


Features included:

  1. Create a Customer (or Tenant) for Production, Testing and Development. This helps separate what is live and what is in testing or development.
  2. Authentication – user login and password management. This can be different for each customer to suite how they would like to authenticate.
  3. Authorisation – Users and roles, page access. Manage user and which reports they can access. This also allows for public access where a specific report or visual is "open to the public" without needed to login.
  4. Themes and Menu Management - have a different look and feel by customers
  5. Report Management – deploy and re-deploy report and data securely.
  6. Scheduling - manage the data updates time slots, which are different by customer. Also help manage the "Embedded Capacity" to help manage costs.
  7. Report viewer - Control via options what the view of a Power BI report will see eg: show filters, show tabs on the Power BI report
  8. System Reporting - User access reports, monitoring of tenants and performance of the environment.


Technical Requirements
  1. On-premise : Deploy locally to your own Azure VM (b2ms or d2ds)
  2. Hosted : Satori can deploy and manage on your behalf.
Data can be stored in SQL Server or Postgres.
