The Spotlight web part draws attention to a critical call to action for end users on your SharePoint Online intranet. Display a call to action, including an image, title, description, and link, front and
center for your users, who can then dismiss the spotlight once completed.
Content owners can choose from multiple layout options, which give each Spotlight a unique feel to further highlight important information.
Spotlight offers you the following features:
- Dismissable - Once the action has been completed, users can dismiss the Spotlight, which is recognized across devices. Content owners can turn off this option should the Spotlight need to remain for a certain length of time.
- Easy to manage - Content owners can adjust the layout depending on their need, and the editing pane makes it easy to add an image, title, description, and link without affecting the rest of the site.
- Viva Connections ready - Like all Accelerator apps, Spotlight is compatible with Viva Connections. Part of Microsoft’s Viva Employee Experience platform, Viva Connections brings your intranet home page and content into Teams.
