By using this tool, you can pick and choose which project and version you want to restore. No longer will your Project Managers lose data or have to take manual local backups of their project files. With automatic backups of Project Schedules, if there is an issue, you don’t have to spend precious time rebuilding a schedule.
TECHNICAL DETAILS
The tool allows for user control of:
• How many backups are kept
• Retrieving a desired backup on a single project
• Reviewing what a schedule was at a certain point
• Replacing the current schedule with the backup
This solution is offered as a SaaS or self-host product. The self-host prerequisites are as follows:
• Save location on the Project Online (or other SharePoint Library) or Network Share (if self-host)
• Always-on computer or VM running Windows XP or greater
• The Snapshot tool is based on .Net framework 4.7.1 and requires Project Desktop on the target machine
