Enterprises undergoing mergers, acquisitions, or large IT reorganizations often need a way for different messaging systems to operate as one. Cloudiway’s Enterprise Coexistence solution addresses this challenge by allowing employees across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Exchange environments to collaborate seamlessly during transition periods.

This ensures that day-to-day communication continues without interruption, even when companies are in the middle of complex transformations. End-users can keep working as if they were on a single platform.

Key Capabilities

Cloudiway provides enterprise-grade coexistence technology that makes cross-platform collaboration possible. The main features include:

Free/Busy Calendar Synchronization

With Free/Busy coexistence, availability details are synchronized between systems so meetings can be scheduled without conflicts:

• Google Workspace users can check the availability of Microsoft 365 colleagues directly in Google Calendar’s “Find a Time” view.
  
  

• Microsoft 365 users can use Outlook’s “Scheduling Assistant” to see Free/Busy details of Google users or even users from another Microsoft tenant.
  
  

• Requests are handled in real time: Google detects that the other user is not on Google Workspace, sends the query to Cloudiway, which connects to Office 365, retrieves the Free/Busy details, and sends them back through Cloudiway so Google can instantly update the display.
  
  

This feature can also be applied during mailbox migrations: calendars stay synchronized, address books remain updated, mails are automatically rerouted with forwarders, and Free/Busy time remains available both at the source and at the target.

Global Address List Synchronization (GALSYNC)

GALSYNC ensures that directory information remains aligned across environments. With Enterprise Coexistence, users can search, find, and contact colleagues regardless of their platform.

How it works:

1. Users and groups are pulled from the source tenant (excluding contacts and guest accounts).
   

2. Contacts, guest users, or mail-enabled objects are pulled from the target tenant.
   

3. New entries are pushed to the target as contacts (or mail users/guest users) and existing objects are updated automatically.
   
   

Important note: Source groups are not recreated as destination groups. They are instead represented as mail-enabled contacts or mail users. Unlike users, source groups are never recreated as guest users, ensuring directory consistency without duplication.
