Send personalized emails with Excel, create email drafts or schedule emails for sending later.
With Mail Merge add-on for Excel and Outlook, you can easily send personalized emails to multiple people. You can also save your personlized emails in the draft folder for reviewing. The built-in scheduler lets you send emails at a later date and time.
Mail Merge works with Microsoft personal accounts and Office 365 accounts.
Getting started with Mail Merge
1. Prepare your email list:
Create an Excel spreadsheet with columns for recipients' names, email addresses, and any other relevant information you want to include in your emails.
2. Compose your email template:
Write the content of your email template. You can use placeholders like {{Name}} or {{Invoice Number}} to personalize the email for each recipient.
You can also use formulas or macros in Excel to replace the placeholders in your email template with the actual information from your email list. This will generate personalized emails for each recipient.
3. Schedule emails with Outlook
If you would like to schedule emails sent with mail merge, include a Schedule Date column in your Excel worksheet and, for each row, specify the date and time when the specific email should be delivered to the recipient.
4. Preview and Send Emails
By using Excel to send personalized emails, you can save time and effort by automating the process and ensuring each recipient receives a tailored message.
