Slack for Outlook

Can't get it to work with my email address. Going to uninstall it - what a waste of time..

I'm using a newer MacBook Pro and I get a message that my browser isn't supported so I can't even use this to connect to Outlook.

Now My office 365 takes 5 minutes to load. because of this app browser is taking extra steps to open mail and it takes forever. also because of this app microsoft pushing Outlook PWA plugin installation in my browser. even I install the plugin it takes 5 minutes to load. Guess what there is no way to reverse it. unless you delete your email from company domain and recreate it. Also it does not complete installation.

New Outlook versions does not support this add-in anymore. Which is a shame because it's very useful. See this KB article for more info on how to migrate from COM add-ins: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/add-ins/outlook/one-outlook Slack, please upgrade it! 🙏

I can't use this until Certification is valid unfortunately.

this app is very confusingand hard to understand. i finally set it up, then when the automation started with trello i got non stop pings i couldnt work. i had to put this to sleep

Like others we are using Macs and have a paid for office subscription. Our domain is connected to office for logging in but emails are routed through gmail only. Outlook is licensed to the user and company domain and it has the gmail account connected. I have deployed the app in Office 365, added it as an addin to Outlook desktop but it tries to login with an unsupported browser because it loads within outlook using its own native browser. Subsequently I have contacted Slack who advise to login to owa, connect it in there and the connection should push down to the desktop app but it doesn't.

I'm using Outlook on mac. When click on the "Slack for Outlook" icon in Outlook, it directs me to connect my account with Slack. The problem is that the internal browser of Outlook is not supported by Slack. To get around this, go to the web outlook using your favorite browser and Connect to Slack. Next reload the Outlook mac app. Now clicking the "Slack for Outlook" icon should no longer require you to connect with Slack!

I added the app as an addin in Outlook 365. Clicked on -> ... in one of my emails -> get add ins -> searched and added Slack for outlook. It looks like you can add it from the appsource.microsoft.com website as well. I then confirmed to pin in my Outlook 365 email, and it's there. After pressing the Slack icon in a Office 365 email, it opens a sidebar overlay to send the email to a Slack channel. It took me a few minutes to realize I could search for additional conversations I could send my email to. Overall works as advertised. Note, I'm using this integration with Outlook 365 on the web for my work email.
