Data Dictionary by MAQ Software is a Power App that stores and shows metadata about the data in given database or Power BI report. Users can search for and filter metrics by strategic business unit (SBU), metric name, metric type, and table name. In addition, users can request new definitions and view request history. Alternately, admins can review pending requests, approve, or reject requests, and add metrics.

Using Data Dictionary

When you login, the app shows metrics details page. We can search metrics by Metric Name dropdown and see its definition.
If you want to propose an updated business definition for a metric, click on Suggest Definition button.
Business definition will be updated once an Admin reviews and approves the request.
Admins can add new metrics using Add New Metric and can also add/delete new admins.
