Morfix Search

Morfix Search is a morphological plug-in for enterprise search engines and databases in Hebrew and Arabic. It is a modular product that integrates seamlessly with leading enterprise search engines such as Elastic Search, Solr, MS SQL, Lucene, Share Point, and more.

Morfix Search makes search engines much more efficient when handling Semitic and Middle-Eastern languages and makes sure that all relevant forms, and only those relevant forms, will be found and presented to the user. The search results include all the different inflections of the word or phrase, and can also include the following: synonyms, words derived from the same root and semantic field, recognition of names, cross-language search (Hebrew-English and English-Hebrew), disambiguation of words by context, handling both plene (full grammatical form) and defective (lacking regular grammatical form) spelling in Hebrew, search by sound, use of an external thesaurus defined by the customer, and much more.
