Die Microsoft Power Platform bietet eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten selbst „Hand anzulegen“ und Anpassungen in Dynamics 365 oder eigene Power Apps zu entwickeln. Ohne Struktur kann dieses Vorgehen für Entwickler und IT-Abteilungen schnell unübersichtlich werden. Es gibt eine Vielzahl an Tools, die den Entwickler bei seinen Anstrengungen unterstützen können aber keine zentrale Stelle wo alles zusammenkommt.
Power CID ist eine von applied technologies entwickelte Power Platform App, die Nutzer der Microsoft Power Platform unterstützt eigenentwickelte oder angepasste Apps und Komponenten von Dataverse (früher „Common Data Service“) Umgebung (früher „Instanzen“) zu Dataverse Umgebung innerhalb eines Microsoft 365 Tenants zu erstellen, testen und zu liefern und diesen Ablauf zu verfolgen. Power CID folgt dabei Microsoft‘s Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
Die Power CID App gliedert den Prozess Deployment in Schritte, CID Action für CID Patches und CID Upgrades und visualisiert deren Status übersichtlich über die CID Umgebungen eines Microsoft 365 Tenants. Der Entwickler kann alle Schritte von der Entwicklung, Testen und Ausliefern aus der App-Oberfläche komfortabel begleiten. Andere Tools oder das Merken von verschiedenen URLs wird von der Power CID Oberfläche übernommen.

The need for other tools or remembering different URLs is taken over by the Power CID interface.
