BI Pixie (Enterprise version) - Engagement metrics for Power BI

BI Pixie is an innovative solution that tracks and analyzes the engagement of your Power BI audience. With BI Pixie, you can track much more than the default page views offered in Power BI usage metrics. BI Pixie tracks user interaction, session duration, interactions per session, slicing activity including column names and selected values, clicked bookmarks and hyperlinks, drill-throughs, tooltip views, and more.

With BI Pixie, you can automatically add thumbs up/down or smile/frown buttons in your reports to collect user satisfaction from your BI audience. Analyze your BI portfolio with best-of-breed user adoption and attrition key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DAU, WAU, and MAU (daily/weekly/monthly active users) with built-in time intelligence. What's New in January 2025 Version:

You can now collect performance data from your Azure Log Analytics workspace using BI Pixie Automation, and then analyze it in this app. Read more here. This new functionality is optional. BI Pixie does not require to use Log Analytics for any other feature. Here are some of the key performance features you can achieve:

• Analyze the load times of visuals in the Performance Heatmap.
• Identify slow DAX queries and the total CPU time that affects Fabric / Power BI capacities.

Recent Features:

• In the Heatmap page, you can learn where users click and where they don’t. The Visual Clicks Heatmap shows you all the visuals in your tracked reports by their exact location, their number of clicks, and the selected dimensions users clicked on.
• BI Pixie can read information from your Power BI service and allow you to analyze report efficiency at the capacity and workspace level.
• The app visuals include hyperlinks to specific workspaces, reports, or pages, allowing you to easily navigate from the BI Pixie app to the actual reports that need improvements.
• In the new Design Changes page, you can analyze the timeline of design changes and how they affect the levels of engagement.
• You can measure the engagement of reports at their shared semantic model level.
• BI Pixie includes a new page to analyze how the design of your reports impacts user engagement using Complexity, Usability, and Passivity scores.

• BI Pixie can run Git pull and push of Power BI reports from multiple workspaces that are integrated with Git.

This app provides the analytics and data visualization layer for BI Pixie Enterprise deployment version. It requires an Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 account where you store the usage and engagement events tracked by BI Pixie. Go to Azure Marketplace and deploy BI Pixie's serverless event collection component.
