Filter by List

Apply filter values to a report in bulk instead of individually checking each box in the filter pane
Filter by List is a Power BI Visual that allows users to apply filter values to a report in bulk instead of having to individually check each box in the filter pane. By default, to filter a report with many categories, users need to individually check each box in the filter pane. This is a tremendously time-consuming task when you have 100s of products, which is a common scenario for many clients.
Filter by List lets you apply:
-
an Inclusion filter: add the whole list of products into the slicer visual to instantly filter by them.
an Exclusion filter: paste the values you don't want to see into the slicer visual to display the rest.
Filter by List uses a flexible pricing model based on your needs and a free version that lets users filter up to 20 values.
Limitations apply when a user shares a filtered report using Filter by list:
If a user with a license shares a filtered report with another user with a license, both will be able to interact with the report.
If a user with a license shares a filtered report with more than 20 items, with another user without a license, the latter will only be able to use the current saved filters or create new filters up to 20 values.
Keep in mind
The following Power BI environments are not supported by visuals with a licensing model:
- Embedded - Publish To Web, PaaS embed
- National/Regional clouds (Depends on general support for transactability in national/regional clouds)
- Report Server (On-Premise) environment
- Exporting (PDF\PPT) using REST API
