Switchboard Telephone System

Switchboard is a web-based user interface that uses Asterisk to establish and control telephone calls between telecommunication endpoints and devices connected to a voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network.

Switchboard is a hosted PBX, so it will work even for organizations that are geographically spread out. The phones in all the offices are connected to a single hosted PBX, so phone users will be able to call different offices and users using internal extensions.

Switchboard automatically records all calls, inbound and outbound, and you can choose whether to record internal calls between colleagues in your organization. You can add notes to each recording so you can easily find them later.

Through the interface you can access the voicemails left for each person. You can also have conference calls for up to 50 people, put calls on hold and include mobile phones of colleagues who work outside the office within the interface, and thus contact them as if they were internal extensions.

Incoming calls from customers who want to receive support, or if they have a sales requirement, will be handled by queues and can be answered by as many agents as you wish to add to each particular queue.
